A New Year
What will 2023 hold? We have had many enquiries so far as people look forward, and begin researching for the next chapter in their lives! Both RiverBend and Mayfair are wonderful communities and we warmly welcome your visits and phone-calls, always glad to hear from you!
December 2022
As we move into December, and how can it be winter already, we look forward to a new Rec calendar and a new Winter Menu starting soon. We so appreciate the classy Christmas decorations throughout the buildings! Each floor at Mayfair is so beautiful in every direction – be sure to check them out!
The Christmas Bazaar, Bake Sale and Art Show November 27 was so fun! We had great turnout and I think every vendor, volunteer and shopper can’t help but be in the spirit of Christmas! There are many talented artists, makers and bakers in our community.
As well, there was much laughter and conversation at the special French Toast Breakfast this morning. Thanks to our Food Services Manager, Chris!
All the best to all as life continues on.
Fall 2022
The weather is beautiful as we have transitioned into fall! Be sure to check out the gorgeous gardens, trees and flowers before the first frost arrives. A big thank you to those who have weeded, dead-headed, etc, etc!
As well, check out the Monthly Calendar as there are always nice things planned for our residents.
July 2022
Hello! We hope everyone is having a great summer! Stay safe in this Kamloops heat wave.
Our calendar is still full with lots to do at both Mayfair and RiverBend, thanks to our Rec Department, Ann and Amanda. There are two calendars, specific to each building, but residents from each are welcome to attend events at the other now.
Also, be sure to check out the lovely plants and flowers around both buildings. Thanks to our residents for donations early this spring for bedding plants, thanks to those who have signed up at Mayfair to do weeding! What a great community!!
June 2022
Oncore has been planning a Father’s Day Lunch for June 19th – juicy Bacon Cheeseburger & Onion Rings! Make your reservation at Reception.
As well, our Rec Department has a special day planned June 30 for Canada Day! This will be held at the Mayfair Gazebo. See the Calendar for details. Tickets available at Reception.

Still Navigating the Pandemic - Winter 2022
We continue to observe BC Health Authority orders and restrictions.
Regularly scheduled ‘in-house’ activities continue such as Exercise Class, Bocci, Darts, Pool, Coffee times, Accordion Players. etc. At the moment, Mayfair and RiverBend residents are not mingling.

Update to Mayfair Residents on the COVID-19 Response, October 14, 2020. (RiverBend has similar requirements.)
The strata council kindly asks for your attention to these updated requirements to reduce the risks of the novel coronavirus and the spread of COVID-19. Share with your family and friends so they can understand what the goals are.
Highlights:
- Visitation should be limited to reasons of Health and Wellness or other Essential requirements.
- Persons under 19 are not to enter due to their possible increased risk of contact at schools.
- Know your social contacts and ask questions to ensure that no-one you bring over or go visit is at risk of being exposed to the novel coronavirus.
- If you have family visiting, please do outdoors wherever possible or within your unit and not in the common rooms of the building.
- All visitors must enter through the main door.
- All visitors are to sign in, sanitize and use the contactless thermometer.
- Non residents must wear a mask while moving through the common areas.

Flu Shots
If you would like to sign up for a flu shot, sign up at RiverBend or Mayfair. Friday, Oct. 9, Tues. Oct. 13 or Wed. Oct. 14. The flu shots will be administered at the new Pharmasave RiverBend.

To protect Residents, the strata council has voted to restrict access to only permit medically necessary persons within the common areas.
DO NOT ENTER if you are sick or at risk of exposure to COVID-19. Please arrange for deliveries to transact at the front door or out of doors.
